What is better than a cold gourmet scoop of ice cream on a hot summer's day? We are delighted to open our latest addition to Vergelegen, the much anticipated Creamery! This exciting new offering brings signature small-batch ice cream, freshly brewed coffees and other favourites available for take away whilst you stroll through our gardens.
Our ice creams are all homemade on the farm and Chef Tarquin loves experimenting with exciting flavours such as granadilla meringue; strawberry and rhubarb cheesecake; maple, date and pecan among others. Visitors can enjoy handcrafted scoops in a cone or a tub in a serene garden setting, adding a sweet touch to their Vergelegen experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this new space promises a memorable treat for all ages.
In addition to the delicious ice creams, we are also serving a selection of freshly brewed coffees, baked goodies, soft drinks and old-fashioned sweets.

Our gorgeous picnic experience is a luxurious escape into nature, set beneath the enchanting canopy of a historic camphor forest.
Guests are invited to indulge in a “white tablecloth” picnic, where gourmet fare is served in beautifully shaded surroundings that blend elegance with tranquility. Our picnic baskets are thoughtfully curated and can be collected between 12h15 and 13h30, allowing visitors the chance to enjoy a leisurely afternoon. A selection of our extraordinary wines are available to enjoy with your picnic. Whether you're planning a romantic outing or a relaxed gathering with friends and family, the setting - steeped in heritage and natural beauty - offers a serene backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience.
