Steenberg is once again turning up the holiday cheer with its much-loved Christmas Carols, taking place on Thursday, 11 December and Friday, 12 December 2025. Set against the backdrop of the estate’s rolling lawns and historic Constantia scenery, this is a heart-warming family tradition that marks the true start of the festive season.
This year’s programme promises an unforgettable blend of nostalgia and celebration. Renowned performer Kevin Abbott and his band will lead guests through timeless Christmas favourites, setting the tone with joyful melodies and sing-along classics. As the stars come out, the vibrant group Jeodhouse will take to the stage, bringing an energetic twist and ensuring the festive spirit carries well into the evening.
Gates will open at 17h00, with the concert beginning at 18h00 and ending at 21h00.
Guests can tailor the evening to their ideal festive experience. The popular Lounge on the Lawn area offers relaxed picnicking under the open sky, with guests welcome to bring blankets and low-back chairs. Tickets are R460 for adults (concert ticket and a glass of Steenberg wine) and R235 for children under 12 (concert ticket, Santa hat and juice), with free entry for children under two.
For those looking to combine music with culinary indulgence, Tryn’s Oak Terrace will once again host a refined dining experience with a three-course feast by Chef Kerry Kilpin. Adult tickets are R1 200 per person (concert ticket and 3-course dinner), while children under 12 enjoy a special offer for R395 (concert ticket, two-course meal, Christmas hat and juice). Steenberg fans can also savour an Al Fresco Picnic Box for two (R875), prepared by Tryn and featuring handcrafted festive treats, with children’s wrap meals also available for R75. Please note that concert tickets are required in addition to this.
A curated collection of food stalls and beverage stations, from gourmet burgers to artisanal ice cream and Steenberg wines to craft beer, will cater to a wide range of tastes. Outside beverages will not be permitted.
In the spirit of giving, the event will once again support the South African Guide Dogs Association for the Blind and True North NPO, offering guests a meaningful opportunity to contribute to local causes.
