Lyle off to Honk Kong in mid August
After the announcement earlier this week that Lyle Hewitson is SA Champion jockey for the second year in a row, it’s even more exiting that he is off to Hong Kong to further his already illustrious career and keep the SA flag flying. We wish him well and look forward to hearing about his achievements.
Mares and Foals walk is back
Access to our race horses is usually quite restricted but in August we open up the experience for the public when the annual Mares and Foals Walks take place. Owner Philip Taberer hosts the groups on a walk through the paddocks up to the stables where GM Pippa Mickleburgh will share some of the secrets of the race horse industry. Participants will get heaps of photo opportunities with the cute foals and their protective moms.
