If you’ve more of a sweet tooth, you can enjoy our wine, nougat and fudge pairing, which is continuing alongside the biltong pairing.

With the news out that Oratorio’s son Divine Odyssey will be lining up in the Durban July, we look back at his achievements over the years with pride. He’s had 9 international Gr 1 winners and one in SA (Van Halen) as well as 4 Gr1 placed and a long list of Gr 2 and 3 winners to date. Oratorio’s book is open and you are welcome to contact Pippa at stud@avontuurestate.co.za to reserve a visit.
Our wonderful Var is still the main man at Avontuur with 9 Gr 1 winners to date including sprint stars like Variety Club, Val de Ra and Via Africa, as well as 15 Gr 2 and 3 winners over the years too. There is limited access to him and Pippa will handle all enquiries personally.
