Nederburg
Be part of the action when Nederburg presents a host of family-friendly activities during this year’s Paarl Harvest Celebration, taking place on Saturday, 2 March 2019.

Start the day with a relaxing hour-long yoga session presented by The Om Revolution, from 9:00 until 10:00, on the sprawling lawn in front of Nederburg’s historic manor house, with spectacular views of the vineyards and the majestic Drakenstein Mountains. Offered at R225 per head, it includes a picnic basket brimming with deliciously healthy food and drink to refresh you after the yoga gathering. Booking and pre-payment is essential.

From 10:00 until 18:00, visitors will get to sample some of Nederburg’s young wines in the making (together with traditional onion tarts), participate in a variety of adult lawn games and stomp newly harvested grapes. Children will certainly not be disappointed with a variety of fun activities lined up, including bumper cars, a jumping castle and sand art.

Live music by popular South African artists Kaleidoskoop as well as BrotherBrother will keep visitors entertained in front of the manor house, where a variety of food, ice cream and drink stalls will offer tasty country-style fare in the welcoming gardens to enjoy with Nederburg wines.

The Red Table restaurant, situated in the manor house, will be serving dishes from its à la carte menu between 11:00 and 16:00. Scrumptious picnic baskets, at R225 per adult sharing, or R95 per child, will also be offered.Picnic baskets come complete with cutlery, crockery, glassware, wooden platter, blanket and ice bucket.  Nederburg’s award-winning range of wines, as well as mineral water and soft drinks, will be available to purchase to complement your meal or picnic. Restaurant reservations are advised, and picnics need to be booked and paid for in advance.

Complimentary guided tours of Nederburg’s state-of-the-art cellar and other points of interest, such as the manor house and Old Cellar Museum that tells the Nederburg story in wonderful artefacts and pictures, will take place every hour from 11:00 until 17:00.
