It was one hundred years ago that Oupa Tinnie and Oom Niels started their winemaking journey which set the Momberg family on the road to establishing Middelvlei as the premium wine producer you have all come to know and love.
As you can imagine, 100 years is deserving of a celebration, or many, and so we have packed this year full of exciting events for you to share with us as we commemorate this great mile stone.
Throughout the year we will also have some special wine promotions for our loyal following.

Monday Night Magic
4 February sees the launch of our new Monday Night Magic. You all know us for our braai lunch, but for the Summer of 2019, we will be open every Monday night for a braai dinner and entertainment by our very own Thandiswa singing a few traditional songs. Check out our Facebook page to hear her beautiful voice. What better way to kick the Monday blues than with a fun evening at Middelvlei Boerebraai?
Monday Night Magic starts every Monday at 6pm and runs until 10pm and seats cost R250 per person, including a Boerebraai meal. Bookings are essential.
Open Air Movie Night
Come join us once a month during summer for our new Open Air Movie Nights. Bring picnic blankets or camping chairs, and lounge out on the lawn with Middelvlei Wine, popcorn and braai snacks and enjoy great film classics set against the picturesque backdrop of the Stellenbosch winelands.
R150 per person includes a movie plus snack box filled with popcorn, a cheeseboard, potbrood and snoek pate, chicken sosatie, and something sweet. Wine and soft drinks will be available from the cash bar. Regrettably no own food and drinks will be allowed. Screening starts at 8pm and the name of our first movie will soon be announced on social media.
The Middelvlei 100 Year Anniversary Harvest Celebration
To mark this most auspicious of occasions here on the farm, we are throwing a Harvest Celebration that promises fun for the whole family. Grape stomping, barrel rolling, wine tasting, tractor rides, live music plus our famous Steak Braai to tantalize your taste buds. There will be so much happening that the Middelvlei 100 Year Anniversary Harvest Celebration is definitely not something you will want to miss out on!
