With the award season over and the festive season upon us, here is a look at what Jason’s Hill wines have won this year.
From a variety of nine competitions, we have walked away with fifteen results. One of which is Double Gold, five Gold and three Silver. These competitions include Gold Wine Awards, Vitis Vinifera Awards, Michelangelo International Wine and Spirit Awards and Tim Atkin’s South African Report. Our Merlot has done exceptionally this year being first crowned one of WineMag’s top 10 Merlot’s in their Merlot Report and then at the SAWI Awards named as one of the Top 10 Merlot’s in South Africa. A true chip on the shoulder we feel. The cellar itself was named by the Vitis Vinifera team as one of the seven wineries that have great wines for their price and at the Gold Wine Awards it was named the winery with the best wine for its price. We are very proud of all of these achievements especially taking into account that most of our wines have only recently been released and have plenty potential still to be reached. We can only but look forward to how they will do next year.
