Boschendal - The traditions go on

Boschendal Estate
Always something new and exciting from Boschendal. Especially in Heritage month where, by tradition now, a whole roast pasture fed Aberdeen Angus ox is roasted over coals. The beef is pasture fed and prepared by Boschendal’s Cattle manager, Jason Carrol.

In celebration of National Heritage Day, also known as ‘Braai Day’, Boschendal is hosting a special open-air Ox Roast Farm Feast in front Boschendal’s historic Manor House.

When Saturday 24 September 2016 | Time 12h00 | Venue Boschendal Manor House

The farm feast lunch will be at a long communal table under the oaks with a festive, harvest style atmosphere. Most of the food will be prepared on open fires by the Boschendal chefs with the centre piece being a naturally raised, pasture fed Angus ox that will be put on a spit and slowly roasted over a bed of coals throughout the day.

Expect platters heaped with seasonal farm produce, great wine including some new Boschendal releases, and an upbeat atmosphere with live music by Blair Taberer.

There is a separate kids table set up adjacent to the shared long table where a kids menu will be served.

The lunch is limited to 220 people so early reservations are essential.

The event is set up on shared long tables, so please let Boschendal know when if you are a group but booking separately so that they can seat you together.

Seating from 12h00, lunch will be served from 13h00 | Bookings +27.218704274 or reservations@boschendal.co.za.

Lunch Price for adults is R325 and children under 10 years, R95. | (Includes starters, spit braai with salads and vegetables, dessert selection, live music. Kids menu at kiddies corner with carers.)

Accommodation: Boschendal is offering low season rates in luxury cottages for visitors wishing to overnight.

Visit www.boschendal.co.za for more information and mention that you are joining the Farm feast when making a booking.
