Top three Two Oceans simple snacking solutions

To inspire South Africans to create great taste on a budget this entertaining season, Two Oceans issued a challenge to bloggers to come up with a simple snacking solution for four people at a cost of R100 or less.
The top three simple snacking solutions in the bloggers' challenge have come from Luisa Farelo, Teresa Ulyate and Tandy Sinclair.

Teresa Ulyate of created a platter of roasted vegetable bruschetta breads with minty gremolata, spiced roasted chickpeas and sweet potato parcels (R79) teamed with Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2013 as well as Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2013. 

Tandy Sinclair of prepared sweet potato crisps (R53) that match not only Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2013 and Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2013, but also Two Oceans Shiraz Rosé 2013.  

The three were short-listed by a panel of judges who included members of the Two Oceans marketing team, TASTE food editor, Abigail Donnelly; chef Andrea Foulkes of Dish Food & Social; and Fiona McDonald, editor of Cheers.

The winner, who will be announced on December 11, will choose two nights away for two, at either Paternoster's Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel on the west coast, or Birkenhead House in Hermanus on the east coast.

"The winner gets to choose their coast with the most and South Africans get to learn of simple, fun and tasty snacking solutions to team up with Two Oceans wines," said Jackie Olivier, global spokesperson for the brand that sells in 80 countries.

The top three also win wines from the Two Oceans range sold in South Africa. Available countrywide, the wines retail for around R35 a bottle.
