The inaugural Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails has caught the attention of 2013 FNB Wines2Whales (W2W) Mountain Bike (MTB) champion, Jennie Stenerhag.
Taking place on Friday, 29 and Saturday, 30 November 2013, the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails is a two day mountain bike stage race that will combine a vast network of world class trails with beauty and exclusivity.

Riding for Team ISUZU 1, Jennie Stenerhag and Yolande De Villiers claimed victory in the women’s team category of the 2013 FNB W2W MTB Race when they completed the three day stage race in a combined time of 10hours32minutes24seconds. According to Stenerhag the two events differ in that for her the FNB W2W MTB Race is more serious racing, while the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails is more relaxed and for a good cause. “It is not a race for me and I will definitely be taking it easy as the season has been long. I am very curious to see the new trails in and around Stellenbosch and I am really excited to see where we are going to ride,” says Stenerhag.

“An event that puts everything back into the trails is absolutely awesome,” continues Stenerhag. “It adds to the existing mountain biking paradise. I have a tour company and we are always looking for new trails to ride with customers. So we are very grateful for the trail builders as they do a great job in making our customers even happier”.

Other top riders to look out for will include: Olympian Richard Murray, four times XTERRA World Champion Conrad Stoltz, Lourens Luus, Erik and Ariane Kleinhans, Cherise Stander, Hanlie Booyens, Sharon Laws, Mariska Strauss and Candice Neethling to name just a few.
