Boschendal
Boschendal Wines, crafted at South Africa’s second oldest wine estate, is heading in a bold new direction by transforming its popular Classics range through new labels that tell the stories of people and places that are an integral part of its rich history, dating back to 1685.
Classics is the foundation range for Boschendal, with the popular Blanc de Noir having graced the tables of wine lovers for decades. Now each wine in the range has been repackaged to tell a story of culture, heritage and wine making.

1. Boschen Blanc, a fruit filled white wine with delicate aromas reminiscant of the bountiful fruit orchards that graced the fertile soils of the original Boschendal farm, is represented by a fruit tree laden with apples, oranges and pears.

2. The Rose Garden Rosé (previously the Pavillion Shiraz Rosé) pays tribute to the historic rose garden at Boschendal, one of the oldest and most beautiful collections of roses in the Cape. The new label has an engraving of a Floribunda rose.

3. Rachel’s Chenin Blanc, a fresh and fruity Chenic Blanc, is the perfect partner for fine food and friends, and is named after Rachelfontein, a perennial spring on Boschendal Estate which now adorns the bottle.

4. “White from red” best describes Boschendal Blanc de Noir, a fruity white wine with a delicate blush and a label that is illustrated with a plump bunch of red grapes.

5. The rich diversity of Boschendal is reflected in Le Bouquet, a delicately off-dry wine with fruity flavours, its label proudly display a bouquet of mixed flowers.

6. Larone Shiraz Mourvdreè is a classic red blend crafted to honour the homestead of Nicholas La Noy who was graned the orhinal titled deed to Boschendal in the year 1685. The label carried the key to Boschendal.

7. The icon on the Lanoy Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is inspired by the adventurous spirit of the founding father of Boschendal, French Huguenot Nicholas La Noy.

“We are delighted with the re-design which aligns with Boschendal’s wine philosophy to balance tradition with contemporary innovation, and we believe this places Boschendal in a very strong position as we embark on a journey to transform the brand: expect new look labels, innovative new products and thrilling acitvations,” says Jacques Roux, marketing director for DGB.
