Want to know which of South
Africa's table wines are the best to serve, which alcoholic beverage will lift
our Spirits or which Cap Classique gets us in a fizz? Consulting the list of
winners of the FAIRLADY Consumer Awards, which are announced in the November
issue of the magazine on shelf 21 October, will tell all.
This year's panel of FAIRLADY Test
House judges, with the addition of The Giggling Gourmet, Jenny Morris, who is
one of South Africa's best-loved food personalities, carefully chosen the 27
finalists from over 402 entries, which was an increase of 35% from 2012.
In addition to Morris and
independent tester Liz Webb, the panel of FAIRLADY Test House Judges includes
FAIRLADY editor Suzy Brokensha and FAIRLADY specialty editors Robyn McLarty
(wine), Justine Kiggen (food), Sally Kramer (Test House editor), dieticians
Lila Bruk and Kim Hofmann (health) and Tasneem Larney (consumer).
"Every year, the FAIRLADY
Consumer Awards just keeps getting bigger and better, an indication of the high
value that manufacturers and consumers alike place on the awards,"
said Suzy Brokensha, FAIRLADY Editor.
