Cape Wine Academy Announces new Managing Director in 2014

The Cape Wine Academy is proud to announce Michelle Grimbeek’s appointment to Managing Director of the Cape Wine Academy as of the 1st January 2014.

Michelle is presently the Cape Wine Academy Regional Manager, a position she has held since 2002, and is based at the Academy’s Cape Town Stellenbosch office.

Previously a school teacher, Grimbeek brings with her over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality sector starting out as manager at a few guesthouses/retail outlets from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, Michelle joined the ranks within the Cape Wine Academy as a Course Coordinator and the rest is history.

Academically, Grimbeek has attained her Higher Diploma in Education (HDE) and the Cape Wine Academy Diploma II. Preparing for her role as Managing Director for many years, Grimbeek has also successfully completed Assessor Training, Moderator Training, Facilitator Training (Train the Trainer), Design & Develop, EMT First Aid Level 1-3 and finally Access training, which she completed in 2013.
