The creative juices have certainly been flowing in our wine cellar! To produce our new Chenin Blanc our Winemaker experimented with two different Chenin vineyard blocks. He allowed fermentation of the grape sugar in French oak barrels while parking them in the cool, undisturbed corner of the cellar a the perfect temperature.
The result is a fragrant wine with an abundantly rich and ripe tropical fruit nose and honeysuckle notes. This delicious summer wine is ready to drink now and will be available on the farm for only R50 per bottle. There are only a limited number of bottles available so be sure to get yours before it sells out!

"The wine has quite a romantic story" The grapes from two different vineyards were separately barrel fermented for 6 months before we blended it back together which added to the complexity and depth of the wine. It is like the grapes from these two vineyards were meant to be together! We are very proud of this wine." - Francois, Winemaker.

We are looking forward to a bumper high season this year and we are ready! The hotel is filling up nicely and we are looking forward to hoisting all our new and returning guests this simmer. Our winemaker, Francois, and his team have launched the 2013 varietal verticals and we are especially proud of the exceptional Chenin Blanc they have produced. Recent awards and industry recognition is testament to our ongoing hard work, passion and dedication. Well done, team!
