Zonnebloem
Zonnebloem's contemporary classics continue to charm the critics, with three of its wines earning Veritas gold medals at the recent 2013 SA National Wine Show.
The three wines, all from Zonnebloem's specialty Limited Edition tier, are the 2010 Pinotage, 2012 Sauvignon Blanc and 2013 Sémillon.

The wines are available from select liquor outlets and retail for around R115 for the red and approximately R74 for the two whites. Very favourably priced, they could also be considered a very good investment for wine lovers who cellar their purchases over the longer term.

Zonnebloem wines fetched among the highest prices at the recent Nederburg Auction, when a three-bottle case of the 1973 Zonnebloem Cabernet Sauvignon was sold for R22 000, translating into a per bottle price of just over R7 333.

Earlier this year Zonnebloem's 2010 Laureat won a gold medal at the 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards.
