The Du Toitskloof Sauvignon Blanc, a top seller and a firm favourite with many wine enthusiasts, took gold with its 2013 vintage at the MUNDUS vini International Wine Awards held in Germany recently.  The cellar has become synonymous in offering exceptional wines by placing consistent quality and freshness as top priorities, offering consumers internationally award-winning wines at affordable prices.

The Du Toitskloof cellar, backed by the majestic Du Toitskloof Mountains, is situated near Rawsonville where the stony soils are ideally suited to grape growing. In summer the vineyards are shaded from early on by the high peaks of the mountains, ensuring slow ripening and intensity of flavour.

The 2013 Du Toitskloof Sauvignon Blanc is a complex, beautifully balanced wine which fills the mouth with hints of gooseberry, pear and litchi, ending in a lingering crisp finish. The wine is most enjoyable on its own or served with cured meats, prawns, sushi and light chicken dishes.

The wine is available from leading liquor outlets nationwide for about R34 per bottle.
