The De Krans Cape Ruby Port, produced in Calitzdorp, regarded as South Africa’s Port capital, has once again been awarded as a Best Value wine in its category in the 2014 Best Value Wine Guide, at the recent Best Value Wine Guide Awards. In addition the recently launched 2013 De Krans Tinta Barocca Rosé also clinched a Best Value Wine award.
The highly respected guide lists a wide range of wine styles available at R80 and under, of which all entries are tasted blind by a panel of distinguished judges.

The De Krans Cape Ruby Port, which also boasts a 4-star Platter rating, produced using the traditional Portuguese grape varieties being Touriga Nacional, Souzo and Tinta Barocca, is best described as a medium–bodied port, youthful with fruity, spicy flavours and a balanced sweetness, Retailing for approximately R55 per bottle this is the perfect value for money all rounder port, and is available directly from the cellar as well as most retail outlets and restaurants nationwide.

Hot on its heels is the maiden vintage 2013 De Krans Tinta Barocca Ros, one of only two of its kind currently produced in South Africa. Beautiful in colour with a distinct freshness this as a well-balanced and fruity ros, made from premium Tinta Barocca grapes. Enjoy, chilled on its own or with chicken, sushi or light pasta dishes. Available in a screwcap bottle, the wine is available directly from the cellar or most retail outlets and restaurants nationwide, retailing for approximately R45 per bottle.
