Summary Paarl entered 283 wines, making Paarl fourth out of nine regions re the total number of entries being 2 060. However, Paarl won 240 awards, making it third ranked out of the nine regions. Paarl’s success rate for awards achieved were 84.81% while Perdeberg’s success rate was a whopping 93.94%. Perdeberg’s Cellar Master, Albertus Louw said: “ To win GOLD awards over a wide variety of white and red cultivars is a really great achievement. Also, the trophies we won are testament to the superb quality the cellar produces and confirms the great harvest we had.”
