Muratie Wine Estate
On Wednesday, 16 July 2013, the Whiffenpoofs will be performing at Muratie Wine Estate on their Cape Town stop of their annual world tour.
Every year, 14 senior Yale men are chosen to be in the Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the "Whiffs" began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple Bar, the famous Yale tavern. Today, the group has become one of Yale's most celebrated traditions.

Each year, the "Whiffs" perform over 200 concerts around the world at a wide range of venues including large concert halls, private events, country clubs, schools, and churches. They are currently touring 25 countries, one of which is South Africa

As part of their world tour, the Yale Whiffenpoofs of 2013 will be stopping off at Muratie Wine Estate for an intimate live performance. Tucked into the exquisite Knorhoek Valley north of Stellenbosch, Muratie Wine Estate, under the stewardship of Rijk Melck and his family, has been at the heart of a lot of passionate debate. This debate is centred largely around the desire to protect a century’s old wine experience that is a magnet for wine lovers around the world.

Come join us for a spectacular winter musical event with this highly accomplished a capella ensemble.

Free entrance (30-40 minute performance).
The show starts at 16h00.
