Weltevrede Wine Estate
The 2013 Wacky Wine Weekend at Weltevrede came and went with a big bang. We had so many visitors and new faces who wanted to sample a piece of the Weltevrede Experience.
As always, the Underground Cellar proved to be quite popular among the Wackies, with three tours a day it nearly wasn't enough! We made many new friends (and hopefully fans) that will definitely return next year for more of the Wacky Weltevrede!

Ouma se Wyn to Be Served on KLM Flights
Weltevrede's Heritage Wine, Ouma se Wyn, has recently been chosen to be served on KLM Airlines' flights.

This delicious dessert wine was named after the fourth generation Jonkers' grandmother, Lisbeth Jonker. Ouma se Wyn is a White Muscadel crafted from old Muscat de Frontignan vines. The grapes are picked at full ripeness and experience handed down from generation to generation is used to craft the wine. The wine is a bright golden colour and displays intense aromas that remind, those who knew Lisbeth Jonker, of her sweet drawer.
