Regarded as one of the industry’s most influential wine publications, throughout the world, the Wine Spectator recently awarded the Anthonij Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 92 points. A score not easily achieved and only awarded to wines of superior quality.
‘To be acknowledged by a publication of this magnitude is a humbling experience as it reaffirms our vision to produce of excellent quality wines on par with highly respected international wine brands’, says Sales and Marketing Manager, Gareth Robertson.

The vineyards chosen for this particular wine were chosen from vines planted on very specific sites and soil types. The canopies of each block and the final yield of each site was managed precisely to express the character of the varietal and location. Winemaker, Dawie Botha describes the wine as displaying delicate violet aromas which overlay characteristic cassis and tobacco leaf typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which define the elegant, layered palate in this particular example of the wine. This wine is supple and lithe in structure with a texture that gives it a superbly polished mouthful and a long lingering aftertaste.

Available directly from the cellar at R415 per bottle the Anthonij Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 is the perfect wine to sip and savour its own, or enjoy with grilled meats, game dishes or any other robust red meat dishes.
