Oak Valley Chardonnay wins Regional Trophy at Decanter Awards

Oak Valley is thrilled to announce that the Oak Valley Chardonnay 2011 was awarded the Decanter Regional Trophy for Best South African Chardonnay over £15 at the 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards in London.
This latest award is the 4th Decanter Regional Trophy, including one International Trophy, won by Oak Valley in 8 years – a remarkable achievement. What makes it even more remarkable, is that a Trophy has been won for every major varietal on Oak Valley which highlights excellence across the portfolio.
In addition, Tim Atkin visited South Africa in Dec and in his latest report released in April, rated the Oak Valley Chardonnay 93 points and Oak Valley Pinot Noir 93 points. Another fantastic achievement.
When asked to comment, Christopher Rawbone-Viljoen said ‘It’s critical we measure ourselves against the very best internationally and once again we have proven that Oak Valley is capable of achieving excellence on the global stage.’
