Australian wine keen on Zhejiang market

Nowadays, Australian wine are blooming in China’s wine market. More and more Australia vintners want to enlarge their business in China, especially in Zhejiang wine market. Vinexpo would be their best choice.
In 2012, the export sales of Australian wine to China reached 183 million Australia dollars. The sales of high-end wine increased dramatically, reached 40%. Nowadays, China has become the largest Australian high-end wine (those price is higher than 7.5 AUD/L ) import market .

Vinexpo is a good opportunity for international vintners entering the Zhejiang wine market and even the whole China’s wine market. Vinexpo and the investigation institution IWSR recently released a report saying that the export sales of imported wine in China wine market will keep increasing by 40% in the next four years. Instead of keening on famous and expensive wine from France, more and more people are fond of Australian wine.
Penfolds Grange is one of the most famous Australian wines in China because American famous wine critic Robert Parker once gave Penfolds Grange a very high store. Ranulf Sessions, the manager of Treasury Wine Estates said that there are lots of Asian consumers want to buy Penfolds Grange for Robert Parker’s high praise.

Andrew Cheesman, CEO of Association of Australian wine also said that Chinese consumers are very fond of the high-end wine from Australian. Meanwhile, Australia wine industry can benefit a lot as the export volume keeps increasing.
