Simonsig
Get up close and personal with celebrity chef Eric Lanlard at an indulgent Sunday lunch with heavenly treats from his latest recipe book, Chocolat, at Simonsig Estate’s signature restaurant, Cuvée, in the Stellenbosch Winelands on 19 May 2013.
Having created culinary masterpieces for impressive A-list clientele, including Madonna and Sir Elton John, you are sure to learn a few tricks for your own baking adventures from this renowned Master Patissier.

Eric who shot to fame in South Africa as the host of Baking Mad on DStv’s BBC Lifestyle channel, has teamed up with Cuvée head chef, Lucas Carstens, for a luncheon that will charm any chocoholic. Get ready for a dessert fix straight from Chocolat after a chocolate inspired menu of creamy carrot risotto and crisps with blue-cheese drenched in a delicate white chocolate sauce and hearty cocoa crusted springbok loin served with parsnip, spinach and Arabic jus.

In Chocolat, Eric reveals his tried and tested techniques with a new selection of chocolate-based recipes – from indulgent chocolate drinks, tarts, muffins and mousses to gâteaux, petits fours and elaborate creations for special occasions. Eric shows you how versatile chocolate can be and gives some valuable tips on how to buy the best ingredients to create his decadent treats.

Do not miss this opportunity to get your hands on a signed copy of Chocolat from the master himself. A limited number of books have been set aside for this pre-launch event of Chocolat at Cuvée.

The Chocolat lunch with Eric Lanlard commences at 12h00 for 12h30 and costs R 290 per person. To book your seat contact Anmarie de Wet at Cuvée restaurant on (021) 888 4932 or send an email to cuvee@simonsig.co.za.
