Not only is this evening event a whole lot of fun with picnic baskets and wine for two, live music, communal tables on the terrace and vine-inspired games for all – we are also raising funds for Avontuur-supported charity, the Keiskammahoek Child & Youth Centre near King Williamstown in the Eastern Cape. This annual celebration with the fundraising element, was started last year by Michael & Tara Taberer and family and aims to end off the harvest on a high note, whilst thanking the vineyard and cellar teams for their hard work and input. In addition to this one-night event, every bottle of wine sold in the tasting room for the whole of April, will contribute R5 to the overall donation at the end of the month. The cost is R275 pp (or R250 pp for 10+), and tickets are limited. The ticket price includes a welcome drink on arrival, a picnic & bottle of wine for 2, live music and all the activities for the evening. It excludes additional beverages.
