Groote Post
Some thoughts from Nick...
Over the last few months I have done wine sales trips to Europe and The United States. Going into the Northern Hemisphere winter had temperatures dropping as low as -5 degrees celsius. Our wines however had a warm welcome and were well received wherever I went.
Back at home we have started picking our vintage 2013 grapes, starting a few days later than 2012. Every year has different growing conditions, making each vintage a unique challenge in all management aspects.

Here's to a great 2013 full of many wine moments.

Till next time, Nick

Harvest Update....

Despite a very hot and windy December, conditions are looking excellent for top quality fruit this year and if the Sauvignon Blanc that has been harvested to date is anything to go by, perhaps as good as 2009. This is due to good rains during winter and resultant healthy vines. Moderate temperatures during harvest period will also contribute to an exceptional vintage.
