This concept offers art enthusiasts a one on one opportunity to learn more about the artist and her vision. Cape Town artist, Arlene Amaler – Raviv's collection of works for the exhibition 'Citizen' span over three decades, across continents and cities and often over murky and dangerous political and social borders. Her artworks challenge us as citizens to question everything and take responsibility for our actions. This body of work offers powerful social commentary, confirmed and often enhanced by her masterful manipulation of medium, colour, and imagery. 'Love Planet' is a collection of artworks that intrigue the viewer at first glance with colour, exuberance and charm, similar to the expression 'love at first sight' but reveal upon closer investigation a deeper, more meaningful internal conversation.
