Maison Estate - the wine estate that forms part of the Weylandts portfolio – this month have launched a limited edition Method Cap Classique.
With an initial limited production of only 350 bottles out of 1100, Maison’s Method Cap Classique is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes (blanc de blanc). A 2009 vintage, this sparkling wine is truly nature’s product, honed with the utmost skill and respect and aged for three years in the bottle. Chris Weylandt, owner of Maison Estate, describes the Cap Classique as: ‘clean, pure, naked’.

At the Maison Estate, nestled in the Franschhoek Valley, each vine is carefully nurtured and each grape hand picked to give it that personal touch that makes Maison so unique. As Antwan Bondesio, Maison’s resident winemaker, says, “I try to interfere as little as possible and simply encourage the best qualities of the grape”.

There is also a new crop of wines joining the Maison portfolio this December. A 2012 vintage of Viognier, Chenin reserve and Chardonnay will join Maison’s growing collection of award-winning wines.

The remaining run of the Method Cap Classique will be released later in 2013. Sign up to the Good Living Programme at Weylandts now to receive first order privileges, and stay up to date with news from Maison and Weylandts stores.

Available from late December at Maison Estate, the new Maison wines are best enjoyed in good company with good conversation.

Method Cape Classique is available at Maison. RRP R280. For enquiries please call 021 876 2116.
