Franschhoek Bubbly festival
Friday, 30th November from 12pm onwards until Sunday, 2nd December from 5pm onwards
The Franschhoek Cap Classique and Champagne Festival, is held annually and is the highlight of our Calendar. This festival, and also become known as the Magic of Bubbles. Every year there is a theme to the event, and this year it is Black and White with Birds and Bows. Boschendal will be showcasing the Grand Cuvee Brut 2008 MCC, and the Le Pavillion Brut Rose. All exhibitors and staff will dress in accordance with the theme. Prizes will also awarded to the Best Dressed Couples . This festival has become synonymous with style and glamour.

Villiera Sunset Game Drive & Wine Evening
Wednesday, 5th December from 5:30pm until 8pm
An hour Express Game Drive through the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary guarantees visitors fantastic sightings of a diverse population of antelope, for example Gemsbok, Burchell's Zebra, Eland, Springbuck, Bontebok, as well as other small mammals and a huge diversity of birdlife.
Your tastes buds will also be satisfied with wine from Villiera and Domaine Grier served with homemade venison pie and a fresh tomato and herb salad.

Gabriëlskloof's "Our Favourite Things" Market 2012

Friday, 14th December from 5pm onwards and Saturday, 15th December from 12pm onwards.
Held on their wine estate, find your favourite things from more than 30 passionate stall holders that include artisanal ice cream, very local award-winning goats cheeses, paella, macaroons, oysters, charcuterie, and bespoke clothing, jewellery, french "brocante" finds, art, handmade toys, and lots more. On both nights the tone will be set by the hip-swinging-toe-tapping gypsy jazz band, "Manouche".

The joy of giving at Durbanville Hills' Carols by Candlelight
Friday, 7th December from 6pm
The carols will be led by Andriette, one of the top three idols of 2007, and include a performance of traditional and contemporary Christmas favourites. Durbanville Hills will be selling Christmas gifts and wine on the evening whilst The Eatery will offer chicken burgers, boerewors rolls, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold drinks. Bring your own picnic blanket (no chairs allowed) as well as your own picnic basket or pre-order one from The Eatery at R295 per couple, including a bottle of Durbanville Hills’ Merlot Rosé.
