Three cellars dominated the stage at the 25th anniversary of the Veritas Awards on October 9th. International and local judges crowned them with a host of Double Gold and Gold medals, marking their wines with the seal of quality and distinction. They are KWV, Nederburg and Spier.

KWV rules at Veritas Awards

KWV swept the boards at the 2015 Veritas Awards, South Africa’s premier wine and brandy competition, last night (Friday 09 October). The Paarl producer’s winning wines reaped 5 Double Gold and 6 Gold medals at the 25th edition of the competition. Nederburg was the closest contender in the medal stakes with 2 Double Gold and 11 Gold, followed by Spier with 2 Double Gold and 8 Gold awards.
