We are expanding the Assyrtiko plantings

We're thrilled to share that the response to our first commercial release of Assyrtiko in South Africa has been overwhelmingly positive! Thanks to your incredible support, we're expanding our Assyrtiko plantings with an additional 2ha, enhancing its presence in the local wine industry. Our new vineyard, planted alongside the original Assyrtiko mother block, is the start of an ambitious expansion program. This year, we’re adding more Assyrtiko vines, along with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and two new mother blocks set for 2025.

Halting fermentation at just the right moment to preserve a delicate balance of sugar and acidity, and a hint of natural fruit sugars. The result is a wine with intense flavours of lime, white peach, and Granny Smith apple, making it an exceptional match for lighter Asian cuisine.

Congratulations to Team Jordan for winning the Bellingham Bernard Podlashuk Trophy

This accolade that Jordan won at the Shiraz SA Awards 2024 celebrates excellence, innovation, creativity, sustainability, and social responsibility within the South African wine industry.

The trophy is named after Bernard Podlashuk, affectionately known as the "Father of South African Shiraz" In 1943, Bernard and his wife Fredagh purchased the Bellingham farm in Franschhoek, where they made history by bottling South Africa's first single-varietal Shiraz in 1956.

Their pioneering spirit continues to inspire, and we are incredibly proud to carry forward this legacy.
