Hugely popular at the moment, our confectionary tasting features sweet treats from local artisanal producer Basilei. The five products (2 nougats and 3 fudges) are specially curated for the tasting and are presented in an elegant box, paired with five of our wines. These are MCC Brut, Luna de Miel Chardonnay Reserve, Minelli Pinot Noir Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon and Above Royalty Natural Sweet Viognier.
Not only does the pairing give an overview of our wine range, it is also a relaxing way to enjoy a tasting with quality products in a convivial setting on the terrace if the weather is good, or inside in our cosy tasting room when cooler days arrive.
The pairings are self-guided with assistance from our tasting room staff, and cost R80 pp. The duration is around 30 minutes and its huge fun to do with other wine loving friends to compare your favourites - and not-so-favourites.
Bookings are not needed for individuals and small groups, but for +6 guests it’s recommended that you book beforehand to ensure the smooth running of the tasting. Find out beforehand though if you want a specific pairing as it might not be on offer on the date you want to visit!
Our tastings change regularly and could include Macaron and Wine Pairings, Biltong and Wine and the ever-green chocolate pairing.
